After the devastating storms at the weekend, experts are expecting even more intense weather conditions with hail, heavy rain and squalls.
On Wednesday, temperatures will rise to up to 36 degrees before heavy thunderstorms move across the country. Showers and thunderstorms will begin in the west as early as the morning, which could spread during the day and reach large parts of Austria by the evening. Only the extreme southeast could remain dry, warn the experts from the Austrian Severe Weather Center (UWZ).
Thursday shows a changeable picture
Thursday will bring changeable weather with scattered showers from south-eastern Styria to the Weinviertel. Everywhere else, the sun will shine at times, before thunderstorms may return in the afternoon, especially in the mountains and Mühlviertel. Temperatures will range between 25 and 33 degrees.
The risk of thunderstorms continues on Friday
The sunny midsummer weather will continue in the east and south, while thunderstorms will start to develop in the west in the morning.
